Hey everyone, welcome back!
I was in London before I’m back to college for 4 days (8 Sept – 11 Sept 2016). College started on 12 Sept after my three and a half months of summer break, you know that feeling when you have to get back on track after a long holiday, yes you know that, so i decided to go for a vacation.
I went to London with 2 friends, Melody and Lawrence. We stayed in an apartment with the owner and some other tourists. Here’s the link to our accommodation: https://www.airbnb.ie/rooms/4514851.
The room was for 2 guests but we added an extra bed as we were 3 in total. The apartment was very big, comfortable and clean. It was close to the underground station
In London, the best way to save on transport is to get an Oyster card. You can use it when you’re taking either bus or tube and you can top up your card at all underground stations whenever you need.
I did not visit many places in London, just wander around and of course, SHOPPING. So, this will be a relatively short post.
Who doesn’t visit (or even just pass by and see) Tower Bridge and Big Ben when he/she travels to London? Tell me if you don’t, I would like to know who you are (you must be really special). Let’s have a look with the pictures taken in London.

An iconic symbol of London – Tower Bridge

That’s Big Ben. The tower holds the second largest four-faced chiming clock in the world
If you’re travelling to London, you can also visit:
Buckingham Palace – Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the queen and is one of the few royal palaces that are remaining working. You can also watch the Change of the Guard for free on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace at 11:30.
London Eye – This is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe and you are able to see the view of London from the highest public viewing point in London. Tickets are required to ride the London Eye, so book online for cheaper price.
Madame Tussauds London – It is a wax museum displaying waxworks of many famous people. Book online to get cheaper price for the tickets.
Hyde Park – Hyde park is one of the biggest parks in London and is also one of the Royal Parks of London. You can do a range of leisure activities in Hyde Park such as horse riding, jogging and cycling. There are also many statues, memorials, fountains and a rose garden.
Now let’s talk about the food in London. Yes, food again, because food is EVERYTHING.
So, what to eat in London?
London is an international food haven. Ethnic food from all over the globe can be found without too much difficulty in London. Visiting London from Ireland usually ends up being a food trip. With such an abundance of food, there are almost too many places to choose from but here are some of my recommendations:
1. Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant. People have claimed that this restaurant serves the best roast duck in London or even in the world.
Here’s the link to their website: Four Seasons

2. Kanada-ya. This is a ramen bar that is famous for their authentic tonkotsu ramen. Other than ramen, you can also get a range of onigiri (japanese rice balls) in Kanada-ya.

3. Tombo. This is a Japanese cafe and matcha bar that serves modern Japanese cuisine and traditional Japanese green tea confections.
